Forward Florida Launches Billboards in South and Central Florida

Launch Is In Advance of the February 18 Primary Voter Registration Deadline

Miami, Fla. — Today, Forward Florida announced the launch of billboards in South and Central Florida in advance of the Florida primary voter registration deadline on February 18.

These billboards will remind voters of the upcoming deadline and of the importance of voting for Democrats in light of Donald Trump’s bigoted and openly racist rhetoric against minority groups and people of color.

“Voter registration in communities across Florida is essential to flipping this state blue and denying Donald Trump a second term in the White House,” said Andrew Gillum. “When Donald Trump tells people to ‘go back’ we all know exactly who he’s talking to — it’s anyone who doesn’t look like him, speak the same language, or practice the same faith.”

With these billboards, Forward Florida is meeting Floridians where they are to communicate that we can all stand up to Trump’s bigotry; and that we have a tool to fight back: our vote.

The billboards are placed along I-4 in Central Florida and along Flagler St. and the Palmetto Expressway in South Florida. The billboards will run in both Spanish and English in rotation.
